Hello! I am so excited to share my blog with you. My name is Mari and I love creating things! I have the inability to turn my brain off, so I thought: hey, why don’t I put all of my ideas somewhere so other people can be inspired?
I live with my awesome husband Nate and 4 cool kids. I homeschool them, which can be exhausting, but soooo fun! My family consists of my favourite people. We also have 2 cats: Tolkien and Luna.
There isn’t a ton to say about myself here. I feel like my posts will give you an idea of how things are around here. Basically, we love to laugh and have fun together, but I also believe that some structure to education is important. Sometimes you have to do/learn things you don’t want to do/learn, and sometimes you need to sit still and be quiet. I believe that hands-on learning is great when you can do it. I love to be organized, but I’m always up for changing things when needed. We get a pile of playable snow overnight? Well, we will have to adjust our schooling so we can go sledding before the school kids get out and overcrowd the hills. A random spring-weather day shows up in the middle of winter? Let’s go the park or the zoo for a “field trip”. That’s how we roll.
