Make Your Own Miraculous: Ladybug and Cat Noir Dolls

Miraculous: Ladybug and Cat noir felt dolls

My family has been long-time fans of Miraculous, but I’ve got to say that it takes way too long between seasons! We have been off and on simply because the wait time is so very long and it’s easy to lose interest. That being said, with season 5 recently being released, I figured it was time to make some Ladybug and Cat Noir dolls. So here they are!

Miraculous Patterns

Attached are the patterns for Ladybug and Cat Noir. You can either print the patterns on paper, or transfer the patterns onto something sturdier, like cardboard or card stock.

If you need any additional help with placement of pieces or any other steps along the way, as usual, I have a video for that! Check it out below:

Steps to Complete Your Ladybug and Cat Noir Dolls

Step One

Print and cut out the pattern pieces. I like to store mine in a zipper sandwich bag so I don’t lose any of them.

Step Two

Using patterns as guides, cut out the pieces from felt. What I love about these characters is that you don’t need too many colours to make them:)

Step Three

Sew and stuff the bodies. I don’t usually sew the arms and feet, but in this case I did. That is mostly because there aren’t any added layers of clothing, so I wanted to maximize the stuffing to make them squishy. If you are not confident with sewing, you can definitely sew down the sides and then glue the arms and feet.

Step Four

Using a glue gun, attach the heads to the bodies, then proceed to add pieces to their proper places. If you need extra guidance with this step, check out the video above.

Step Five

Add the details on the faces and give Ladybug some spots. You have a few options here. Personally, I use acrylic paints. However, I suggest you go with your strength, which could include embroidery, fabric paints, or maybe even markers. You can even cut tiny dots out of felt for Ladybug’s suit if you’d like. I apply the paint with a stylus, but you can use a small brush, or even a toothpick for the fine details. If you aren’t feeling confident in the placement of the facial features, you can lightly draw them on first.

Enjoy your Miraculous dolls! They are super cute and kids love them (at least mine do!).
